Dear readers,
It is with immense pleasure that I present to you the Festival of Arts at School, an exceptional event whose first edition took place successfully from April 2 to 4, 2025 on the iconic Futuroscope site.
This festival, driven by an ambitious and innovative vision, aims to highlight the creative and artistic potential of our students, while reaffirming the essential place of artistic and cultural education within our educational system.
Through this festival, we aim to offer young people a unique platform where the full richness of their imagination and talent can be expressed. This event is intended to be both a showcase and a laboratory: a showcase to discover the diverse artistic expressions of students – from theatre to dance, including music, choral singing, visual arts and digital media – and a laboratory where new ideas, teaching practices and cultural initiatives intersect, interact and enrich one another.
This Arts in Schools Festival is also a unique opportunity to bring together stakeholders in education, culture, and local communities around a shared project that is meaningful and forward-looking. Every moment of the festival is marked by collaboration and commitment: students and their teachers presenting their creations, arts and culture professionals sharing their expertise, and institutional partners enthusiastically supporting this initiative.
Beyond the shows, exhibitions and workshops, the festival invites collective reflection on the future of arts and cultural education:
- How can we promote the development of all students through the arts?
- How can we give them the tools to re-enchant the future?
I would like to warmly thank everyone who makes this festival possible: the teaching staff, the artists, the local authorities, and of course the students themselves. Together, we affirm that the arts in schools are not a luxury, but a necessity for developing creative, open-minded, and engaged citizens.
I invite you to join us for these unforgettable events and to share with us this high-quality human and artistic adventure.

A breeding ground for young talent and educational innovations open to all!
The Arts in Schools Festival is a unique and innovative event. From its very first edition, 6,000 young people aged eight to eighteen came together to create an event unlike any other in the world, both in its scale and its multidisciplinary approach. For three days, it hosted school-based choral singing, orchestral performances, dance, and theater workshops from all over France. It fostered connections between students and professionals in the arts. Thus, showcasing students' artistic talents is central to its mission.
In line with the national "School in Chorus" program and the President of the Republic's commitment to 100% Arts and Cultural Education, this festival is organized by the DAAC (Regional Academic Delegation for Arts and Culture) of the Poitiers Academy Rectorate and the National Federation of School Choirs. Numerous arts and cultural education activities, such as artistic workshops, exhibitions, and concerts, will be offered to students, including day programs. A program will also be offered to partner institutions serving underserved populations (nursing homes, specialized educational institutions, community centers, detention centers, etc.).
A festival of encounters
The festival's unique feature lies in its openness to training programs and all related professions within the performing arts (communication, security, management, catering, etc.), bringing together professionals and young people enrolled in vocational and general education programs at schools, universities, apprenticeship training centers, agricultural high schools, and social and solidarity economy institutions, for example. The concerts and performances offered are exclusive and innovative projects, open to the general public. The first edition of this festival featured OCNA, Apollo5, Félicien Brut, and Lise Borel.
The TAP
In the heart of the city, the Théâtre Auditorium de Poitiers is an exceptional cultural venue, modern, welcoming, and fully open to young audiences. With its complementary spaces—theatre, auditorium, and meeting areas—it offers an ideal setting for intense and shared artistic experiences. An iconic, human-scale venue that fosters discovery, attentive listening, and collective emotion. Depending on the festival's highlights, participants can attend performances, concerts, and special events in the heart of a major cultural institution in Poitiers.
The Futuroscope
Un lieu unique, exceptionnel et magique pour des espaces resserrés et modulables. Un Festival à dimension humaine avec des programmes adaptés à chacun.
