WHY THE ARTS IN SCHOOLS FESTIVAL?
The Arts in Schools Festival was born in 2022 from a shared observation: while school-based artistic practices are rich and formative, they remain insufficiently visible. In a context marked by major climate, economic, and social challenges, it became necessary to create a unifying space for expression in order to give meaning, coherence, and visibility to the creative dynamism of our youth.
The festival's main objective is to re-enchant the future by placing art at the service of youth empowerment. Artistic projects offer students spaces for expression and engagement, helping to develop self-confidence, critical thinking, and a sense of responsibility, while fostering listening, cooperation, and respect. Art thus becomes an essential lever for improving social cohesion and understanding the transformations of the contemporary world. The FeDAÉ also aims to promote projects from schools and strengthen partnerships between the Ministry of Education, local authorities, and cultural stakeholders. Finally, it aims to structure students' artistic pathways. More than just an event, this festival establishes itself as a tool for empowerment, social cohesion, and building a more inclusive and responsible future.
