Visit this page from March 28, 2026 until June 30, 2026 to register for the 2027 edition of the Festival of Arts at School.
The Festival of Arts in Schools offers several participation options to adapt to the realities of schools (day format, 3 to 5 day stay, competitions, orchestras), while guaranteeing a common framework: prior educational preparation, artistic meetings, public presentation and logistical support.
Before registering, teams are invited to:
- Identify the category corresponding to their project (unifying projects within/outside the academy, Clément Janequin Prize, school orchestras);
- Choose the formula (duration, included activities, options) that is most consistent with the educational objectives, schedule and budget;
- Anticipate key points: transport, supervision, dietary requirements, permits and insurance.
Registration for the 2027 edition opens on March 28, 2026 and will be done exclusively online via the official FeDAÉ website. Registration will be open until June 30, 2026, subject to capacity: the festival reserves the right to close registration before this date once the maximum number of places is reached, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration takes place in four steps:
1. Download and review the complete information packet (festival presentation, artistic program, registration options).
2. Choose a registration option and the corresponding artistic project.
3. Complete the online form and upload the required supporting documents (administrative, educational, and logistical data).
4. Registration confirmation: after confirmation from the FeDAÉ team, payment of registration fees by the institution.
Registered institutions agree to respect the festival charter as well as the schedule of their stay provided by the organizers. Participation is confirmed upon receipt of the registration fee (€200 or €350 depending on the package). Payment for the stay is then made according to the following schedule: 30% deposit by October 30, 2026, then the balance by April 30, 2027.
Registered groups have access to Digi’Chœur to prepare their artistic content.
Accommodation for participating students is arranged in hotels located within the Futuroscope technology park, in close proximity to the main festival venues. This location helps to reduce travel time, facilitate group coordination, and ensure smooth organization throughout the event.
The selected accommodations, rated 2 or 3 stars, are specifically designed to host school groups. They offer lodging that meets the essential requirements for comfort, safety, and accessibility for young people. Rooms are generally arranged for shared occupancy for students, while chaperones have dedicated rooms, in accordance with regulations governing school trips.
Partner establishments also have collective spaces allowing for the reception and coordination of groups, facilitating gathering times, briefings for teaching teams and the organization of departures to the various activity venues of the festival.
The proximity between the hotels and the main festival sites also ensures safe supervision of students, while guaranteeing accommodation conditions compatible with the artistic and educational rhythm of the Festival of Arts at School.
Depending on the chosen package, groups are accommodated for one to four nights in these partner establishments. Specific accommodation details (room allocation, arrival and departure arrangements) are provided to group leaders in the logistical documents distributed prior to the festival.
Catering is organized to adapt to the diversity of formats and artistic constraints: meals in collective catering, solutions in school/student catering in Poitiers, and packed lunches when the schedule requires a “mobile” meal.
For groups present only for the day, catering can remain self-sufficient; however, the festival offers, depending on the package, included meals (picnic / “3 items” meal) in order to ensure smooth transitions.
The organization and management of transportation are the responsibility of the participating groups, who are responsible for their own travel to the festival and throughout the event. Each group is therefore advised to plan and organize its transportation arrangements based on its departure point, accommodation, and chosen participation package.
The logistics team of the Festival des Arts à l’École remains committed to supporting groups in their efforts, providing advice, and, where necessary, proposing tailored solutions within the festival's organizational constraints. This support aims to facilitate overall coordination and ensure the smooth flow of participants between the different venues.
The arrangements for welcoming groups are as follows:
- Groups participating in the day: they are welcomed directly at their place of artistic practice (rehearsal room, concert hall or activity site) at the time scheduled in the day's schedule.
- Groupes participant sur plusieurs jours :
- lorsque l’arrivée des groupes intervient avant ou après les temps collectifs du festival, l’accueil est organisé directement à l’hôtel ;
- lorsque les groupes arrivent le vendredi matin, dans le cadre de l’ouverture du festival, ils sont accueillis sur la zone de départ du défilé des artistes, qui constitue le premier temps de rassemblement du festival.
To facilitate the overall organization, a logistical welcome document specifying meeting places, recommended arrival times and how to contact the festival team is sent to group leaders in advance of the event.

A large gathering of twelve school orchestras takes place at the bandstand in Blossac Park on the Sunday of the festival. The participating ensembles perform in succession, allowing the public to discover the diversity of school instrumental projects. The event concludes with a collective performance bringing together all the musicians, accompanied by the Brass Band of Vienne and conducted by Laurent Douvre, head of the French Air and Space Force Band.
